Dr. Wendy Wendel is a residency trained and board certified optometric physician. She provides a wide range of primary eye care which includes all of the following: management and treatment of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, cataracts and other eye diseases. She also fits specialty contact lenses and performs pediatric eye exams.
A graduate of University of South Florida in Tampa Florida with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Wendel went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry Degree at Nova Southeastern University. She also completed a residency in Primary Care with emphasis in Ocular Disease at Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Wendel is a member of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce, American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association and the Manasota Optometric Society. During her time away from the office, she enjoys biking, traveling, cooking and spending time with her husband, Robert, her 3 daughters, her miniature dachshunds, Molly and Mia, and with her family and friends, too.
